What is the weather like in Monaco during the month of May?
The weather in Monaco in May is usually mild with minimal rainfall. Temperatures usually average between 19-24 ⁰ C.

Is there a dress code?
The Monaco Grand Prix is generally quite a smart event. We want all our guests to feel comfortable with what they wear, so the below suggestions may be considered for certain locations:

Hotel de Paris, Hotel Hermitage & Metropole Hotel:
Smart attire.

Albatros, Caffe Milano, Ermanno Palace, Fairmont Suites, Heracles, Shangri-La, Rascasse, Yachts:
Smart/Casual – Tailored shorts/jeans or chinos, smart trainers accepted. Team polos accepted.

Café du Port, Fairmont Roof-top seats and all grandstands:
Casual – shorts & trainers acceptable.

Please consider forecasted weather conditions and be prepared with appropriate clothing and sun protection. This particularly applies to the grandstands, Fairmont roof-top and yachts where shelter is limited.

What about footwear?
Monaco is known for its hills, and with the track closing normal routes around Monaco, a good amount of walking may be required. At race viewing locations you may have to stand for a period of time, so please take this into consideration when choosing your footwear.

Yacht footwear: Guests are allowed to wear shoes on board our yacht as we will have laid a protective carpet. Ladies are advised that if their heels are particularly narrow then they may have to remove them so as not to damage the decks.

Will I need earplugs?
Foam ear plugs will be supplied at all of our venues should you wish to make use of them. If you are attending the race with young children, we recommend you bring ear defenders for them.

Safety & Security
Safety will be a priority for the Monaco authorities during the Grand Prix period, therefore security checks will be in operation. It is advised that guests always carry identification with them and allow additional time for any delays this causes. Please keep your pass and lanyard visible around your neck so that you are easily identifiable when watching the race.
